Value-Added Service for Your Clients

Charitable giving can play a significant role in planning when your client is making major decisions related to estate planning, sale of a business or other major asset, retirement planning or unusual financial gain. The Foundation respects your role as trusted advisor and does not seek to interfere in that relationship; rather we partner with you to provide support, information, and options to help your clients develop the giving plan that meets their specific goals. Respecting the relationship between you and your client is paramount to the Community Foundation. When a gift of $250,000 or more is made to the Foundation, the management of those funds may remain with you so long as Foundation policies, including our Investment Policy, are followed.

Giving has never been easier

Endowed Or Non-Endowed
It’s Your Client’s Choice

An endowed fund is a permanent fund that grows over time and will provide benefit now and for future generations.

A non-endowed fund permits advised grants that may result in the distribution of a portion or all of the fund’s balance.

1 Your client can make an initial $10,000 or greater donation to get started. Gifts of cash, publicly traded securities, bonds, real estate, and other marketable assets are accepted.

2 Your client chooses the name for the new fund. It can be established with a donation from an individual or business, or through a bequest in a will, trust, or other planned giving instrument.

3 Your client identifies the charitable organizations to support. Foundation staff can help you vet programs and projects that reflect your client’s values, support cherished causes, or address community needs.

Current tax laws prohibit Donor Advised Funds from making grants to pay for tickets or any portion of tickets to fundraisers or benefits that include a material benefit such as a meal, a seat at an event, to purchase or fulfill memberships having any tangible economic benefit, or their goods and services for the donor, advisor, or any related party, supporting individuals, fulfill a legally enforceable pledge, support political campaigns, or for lobbying. Tax law also prohibits donors, advisors, or related parties from receiving grants, loans, compensation, or similar payments from Donor Advised Funds

We work with you to help your client create a legacy

When your client wants to create a legacy of giving that focuses on more than one charity or interest, a short-term challenge of a specific non-profit, or beyond one year, the Foundation is here to help.

With a donor advised fund, your client’s charitable interest can be honored forever, encouraging succeeding generations to carry on your client’s philanthropic goals. For a client that values training programs and continued education for high school graduates, a scholarship fund is a wonderful way to honor or memorialize a loved one or a mentor.

    Giving Back

Shared Tomorrows Community Foundation aims to help individuals, families, and businesses accomplish their goals of supporting their communities. If giving back is an important value for your client, we would love to help them. A fund administered by the Foundation reflects the values that define a donor’s charitable commitments. It is a way to engage and teach family members about charitable giving, how rewarding it is to support communities where they live, work and play, and to create a culture of philanthropy. A Foundation fund connects donors who care with causes that matter most to them and can be…
