Through the transition of The Community House Association to Shared Tomorrows Community Foundation (Shared Tomorrows), we will continue and expand our legacy of service by bringing together donor contributions to award grants and scholarships that create meaningful impact for generations to come.
Where and Who We Serve
Shared Tomorrows awards grants to small and medium-sized nonprofit organizations serving communities within approximately a 10-mile radius of Birmingham. Grants support programs focused on:
- Human services for seniors and youth
- Food insecurity
- Health and wellness
- Education
- Cultural arts
- Recreational therapy for individuals with disabilities
Our service area includes 18 communities: Auburn Hills, Berkley, Beverly Hills, Birmingham, Bloomfield Hills, Bloomfield Township, Clawson, Ferndale, Franklin, Hazel Park, Huntington Woods, Madison Heights, Oak Park, Pleasant Ridge, Royal Oak, Southfield, Troy, and West Bloomfield.
Approximately 250 nonprofits in these communities align with Shared Tomorrows’ grantmaking priorities. Our goal is to connect caring donors with organizations creating meaningful impact in the causes and communities they care about most.
Connecting Generosity with Community Impact
Community foundations are public 501(c)(3) grantmaking organizations dedicated to strengthening communities by connecting the generosity of individuals, families, and businesses with local needs and nonprofit organizations making a difference.
Shared Tomorrows Community Foundation (“Shared Tomorrows”) provides a trusted way for donors to support local nonprofits, invest in community priorities, and create lasting impact. Whether through grants, scholarships for students pursuing education beyond high school, establishing a family fund, or creating a legacy gift, Shared Tomorrows helps donors give in meaningful ways that benefit generations to come.
